This book was not on my radar until my wife and I were visiting Salem, Massachusetts, and she asked to see the eponymous House of the Seven Gables. I love the way she uses her imagination, loves the people around her wholeheartedly, and the way she expresses herself. I wish I could use my imagination the way that Anne uses hers.
